Professional Learning workshop and AGM for the French-English bilingual network in Melbourne
Thursday October 27, 2016 was an important day for the Australian Association of French English Bilingual Schools (AAFEBS) in Melbourne.
The day started with the launch of a 2-day professional learning workshop for 20 teachers of the bilingual network in Camberwell Primary School – a LabelFrancEducation accredited school – co-facilitated by Dr Emmanuel Bernet and Ms Kathryn Macfarlane, which focused on using oral skills to develop French language learning.
It was followed by a meeting of the principals and French directors and the first AGM of the association in Auburn High School – whose French programme is recognised as a French international school by the AEFE (The Agency for French Education Abroad).
The day was concluded by a reception at the Honorary Consulate of France in Melbourne held in honor of the AAFEBS. The Honorary Consul of France in Victoria, Ms Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, representatives of the French Embassy, board members of the AAFEBS, representatives of the Department of education of Victoria, teachers of the AAFEBS’member schools gathered in honor of the Australian Association of French English Bilingual Schools during the evening.
