The French-Australian Preschool in Red Hill was started in 1969 and is officially recognised by the French Ministry of Education, and as such is part of the AEFE overseas network of French Schools. It is also accredited by the Australian Government with approval for 128 places (2015) spread across 5 classes of “petites” and “moyennes” sections.
The preschool offers a French immersion program based on the French National Curriculum as well as the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Opening times: 9am to 3.15pm during school term with before and after school care options (8am to 9am and 3.15pm to 6pm) as well holiday programs.
Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible for Childcare Benefits (CCB) and Childcare Rebates (CCR). Scholarships for students of French nationality may be obtained from AEFE based on the fulfillment of certain requirements.
