The Australian Association of French-English Bilingual Schools will hold its second AGM and Professional Learning in Brisbane in October.
20 teachers from the bilingual network will attend a 2-day professional learning workshop on October 26-27 at Tinglapa State School – whose French Programme is recognized as a French international school by the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad). The workshop, aiming at sharing best practices, will mainly focus on reading and writing in bilingual schools.
On Friday October 27, Dr Misty Adoniou from the University of Canberra will give a lecture and lead a workshop on Translanguaging and Metalanguaging.
At the same time principals and French directors of bilingual schools will attend the AGM of the association.
