27th October 2016: Meeting of the principals and French directors and the first AGM of the association in Auburn High School – whose French programme is recognised as a French international school by the AEFE (The Agency for French Education Abroad).
The Australian Association of French English Bilingual Schools (AAFEBS) is an official not-for-profit association, launched in September 2015 and set up in 2016 for the specific purpose of support for all Australian schools delivering bilingual education in French and English, most of which are accredited by the French Ministry of National Education or recognised through a LabelFrance Education. There are currently 12 AAFEBS schools throughout Australia (ACT, Queensland, NSW, Victoria, and 2 new members in South Australia). The association aims to promote French-English bilingual education in Australia, and share knowledge, experience and expertise in bilingual education with the support of the Embassy of France in Australia.
During the past year, AAFEBS has been very active in collaborating and communicating with member schools.
